My Review
This is my first read of 2024, and I borrowed it from my local library. It’s a book that has been on my TBR list since 2021, and I’m glad I finally got the chance to dive into it. Interestingly, this novella is part of the Demonica world but can also be enjoyed as a stand-alone. You don’t need to have read the previous novels to understand and appreciate this book. I’ve been a fan of the Demonica series since 2009-2010, and I’ve revisited it multiple times. However, I didn’t get the chance to do a re-read before this book. But the writing is so good that it didn’t hinder my understanding of the content. I will re-read it when I can, simply because I love this series and the author so much!

Whine/Tracker was introduced in previous books and was an intriguing character. This book gives readers what they were craving by expanding his story and giving him hope to overcome his slave bond. Stacey was also introduced previously, and this book follows their path to love.

I highly recommend this book to current paranormal romance readers and people looking to jump into a new genre or series!

My Review
I borrowed this book from my local library. This novella in the Demonica series, written in Larissa Ione’s signature style, brings us back to Underworld General Hospital and progresses Tavin’s story. Tavin, a contracted assassin turned healer, and Deja, his former victim seeking revenge, are the compelling protagonists. As the story unfolds, we are reminded that revenge is not always the way, and every story has two sides, making this a thought-provoking read.

I highly recommend this book to current paranormal romance readers and people looking to jump into a new genre or series!

As the first installment in Larissa Ione’s fresh Demonica Birthright series, Legacy of Temptation is a gem I had the pleasure of borrowing from my local library. Known for her captivating storytelling, Ione takes us into a world set approximately 30 years after the events of Reaper in the Demonica Underworld series. This book continues the constant battle between The Aegis and DART (Demon Activity Response Team), compellingly exploring the blurred lines between good and evil. The protagonists, Eva Tennant (from The Aegis) and Logan Thanatos (son of one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse), are a fascinating duo. Borrow or buy this book to discover if they can overcome their differences and save the world!

As the second installment in Larissa Ione’s Demonica Birthright series, Legacy of Chaos takes place approximately 30 years after the events of Reaper in the Demonica Underworld series. I borrowed this book from my local library. This book follows the journey of Stryke and Cyan. Stryke is the son of Shade and Runa from the Demonica Series. Stryke is plagued with guilt and grief over the tragic death of his brother Chaos. Stryke formed the anti-demon company, StryTech, to cope with the death of Chaos and try to save the world. Cyan works for the DART (Demon Activity Response Team) organization. Cyan is sent to work with Stryke at StryTech as part of a joint effort between DART and StryTech to develop innovative technology. Before the events of the first Demonica Birthright novel, Legacy of Temptation, Cyan used to worship Stryke as a genius hero. Now, she can barely stand to be in the same room as him.
